At the heart of ZARMA, a 25 year old olive tree takes root. The quiet anchor that binds home to landscape. Framed by custom hardwood doors and soon to be embraced by climbing greenery, it sets the tone for a residence where nature and architecture move as one.

Designed by Allan Amores of Amores Design and delivered by BARLOW, ZARMA sold for record price and was the biggest draw in Mater Prize Home history. The home distills the essence of modern living into sensitive architectural form, where light, proportion, and raw material expression shape every space. The result is a home defined by natural tactility and purposeful composition.

The design is grounded by a central courtyard and a resort-sized swimming pool, inviting a seamless flow between indoors and out. Unapologetically natural, the material palette features hand-made Japanese tiles, travertine, softly polished concrete, and warm timber - all of which come together in a cohesive expression of material honesty and architectural intent.

In its totality, ZARMA represents a balanced design response - calm, integrated, and deeply rooted in place. Guided by its materials, responding to landscape, and crafted with intention, it stands as an articulate expression of contemporary living and BARLOW’s approach to uncompromising craftsmanship.
