In the initial consultation we will discuss your design, vision and budget. We will go through your inspirations, goals and desires for the project, and ensure the features and design elements you dream of align with the budget you have in mind. We will also thoroughly walk you through the BARLOW Building design and construction process.
The ‘design phase’ is the most crucial stage of the build – where we design a home that exceeds your needs, wants and desires. We work closely together with our trusted architects, estimators, and designers to ensure the design we create aligns with your budget.
Firstly, we complete a ‘Quick Building Estimate’, which is where we apply basic square meter rates to your project. This is to ensure that your project stays on budget through out the early design and drawing process.
We then continue on with a ‘Full Builders Quote’, where we outline all costs at each stage of the build. Designed to ensure that our prices are as precise as possible, reducing the likelihood of variations during the construction process.
This includes a scope of work, material take-off amounts, timber lists, budgeting spreadsheets and progress payment schedules. This document is more than simply a quote; it is our primary source of paperwork, which we refer to frequently throughout the construction process.
We work closely with you at every step of the ‘Construction Phase’ to ensure a seamless process from the initial design through to handover. We are committed to maintaining constant, open, and transparent communication throughout this process.
You will also collaborate with Chelsea, our in house designer, to make your dreams and ideas for your home a reality. She will show you a variety of possibilities; such as colour palettes, cabinetry designs, tile layouts, plus many tap wear and material selections.
